Our Commitment

We endeavour to retain as many of Bayu's existing trees and shrubs as possible to preserve the “natural” character of the area. The existing environment may take up to 20 years to recreate artificially. And even then the ambience of the original natural setting would not be achieved. What we see here at Bayu already existed. A naturally unplanned pattern of trees and shrubs forms the desired natural environment. Retaining trees alongside the program of replanting and transplanting will allow the residents to enjoy lush shaded areas. This provides a cleaner and fresher air, and ultimately a healthier natural environment.

We plan our construction works and buildings to minimise earthworks and removal of trees. By planning the buildings around the trees, we can preserve the natural ambience not to mention enhancing the architectural character of the buildings. This is evident in our Site Office where pavilions were created with trees puncturing through the verandahs and link ways. In dug-up areas, trees were also retained and protected by boxed-up stone rubble walls.

We emphasize on conservation and efficient use of Bayu's natural resources. Our commitment is to achieve comfort and convenience for our residents. To this end, we constructed paths and facilities, and amenities that are all specifically designed to ensure safety, security and user-friendliness whilst reducing maintenance costs.

Utilities such as sewerage, water, electricity and telecommunication are below ground with durable materials that require minimal maintenance. We provide special services termination pits at each plot of land to save our residents the cost of excavation below road for services connections later on. This also ensures minimal or no destruction to our completed streetscapes.
